Serbia and Montenegro head coach Zoran Terzic: "First of all, congratulations to the Brazilian team for today's win. I am only sorry that we didn't play the same way that we played for the rest of the tournament, except for a few small parts of the game. What I can say for sure is that Brazil has a better-quality team than us and even if we had played the best we could, we wouldn't have been able to win."

Serbia and Montenegro captain Vesna Citakovic: "I'm sorry we didn't play as we should in the first and second set. Maybe we were a bit scared. After that we played better but Brazil showed their quality and showed they are the best team in the world."

Brazil head coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes: "We played very well in the two first sets. I don't like the set we won 25-14. It is difficult to believe that a team can change the match, but Serbia and Montenegro played very well in the third and fourth set and we had problems, particularly in the number 4 position. I'm happy that we won the match but not happy with the performance of my team in the third and fourth sets."

"I won the Olympic Games with the men's team in 1992 and I think we're following the history of the men's team with the women's team now. But you need to play many tournaments to learn how to win at this level. I think we're now in a position to win, but Italy and Russia are very strong."

Brazil captain Fofao: "In the first and second set things went badly and in the third set we started to make some errors. But in the fourth set we regained our concentration and were able to win."

"I am happy that we have finally reached our goal: the final. We don't know who we will face yet, but either way it will be very difficult for us."

Sheilla Castro: "It will be difficult. We will play as we usually do."

Jacqueline Carvalho: "The first and second set was good, but we hesitated in the third. Serbia and Montenegro have done a very good job in the tournament and they definitely deserved to go to the semi final. I would like to congratulate them on that."
